As you may have noticed, this community is pretty quiet. That might in part be because all three of the moderators have now been out of college/the IHSA circuit for sometime (and are currently living in places where IHSA barely exists... don't get me started on how much being horseless, after 10 years of NOT being horseless, sucks). Anyway ridingincollege used to be *the* place for all things college riding related - IHSA, NCAA, balancing school and riding, and really just anything related to people in college (or grad school) and riding. And it's kind of sad to see that die off, especially when it's amazing how much college riding has grown/changed in the 6 (I think?) years since I created this community. Back then there were about 10 people on LJ who listed IHSA as an interest (and I think most of those? Are still on my friendslist!). Oh, how things change.
Anyway, I was wondering if there were any actual *college aged* members who might want to become moderators and maybe help bring this community back to life... if you're interested or have thoughts on this, comment! I'd love to see this place become active again, and I know a lot of us alums would love to read about IHSA/NCAA/college again.
(And, I do want to do a quick shout out to my aluma mater, Drew University... one of their open riders, James Fairclough, won the Cacchione Cup at IHSA Nationals this year - congrats!)
